Bob Wintringham is a highly experienced Member who has been part of School governance for more than 30 years. He is a founder member and retired Chair of the Academy Board of Faringdon Learning Trust and was instrumental in the formation and development of the Academy from its very beginning. He was Chair of the Faringdon Community College for over 20 years and saw it grow substantially both in reputation and size during that time. He worked for the local authority for 22 years as a governor trainer, mentor and consultant across Oxfordshire and beyond.

He has lectured on the Headteacher training programme on governance and delivered key note speeches at regional conferences and Oxfordshire Council.

During this time he has chaired 5 Interim Executive boards at schools in special measures, resulting in each of those schools being judged good and removed from SM in subsequent inspection.

He continues to support and guide the FLT board as a member as it grows and develops through the 21 century
