I joined Faringdon Academy of Schools as Trustee in September 2019. I moved to Faringdon 13 years ago, in 2006 when my military service brought me to the Defence Academy at Shrivenham, and I have lived here ever since. I spent most of my early career in aviation, initially as a helicopter pilot and later as a management accountant working for the Joint Helicopter Command. Since retiring from the Army, I have worked in industry and have been the group environment, health and safety director for two multinational manufacturing companies. I was a Faringdon town councillor for seven years. My experience of regulatory compliance, change management and organisational design in both the public and private sector should enable me to support the Trust in a number of areas and I am looking forwarding to helping the Trust achieve its aims.
