As you know promoting oral health is now in the EYFS framework, but what does good oral health mean? Sit back and let us do the talking! Join us for three bite sized sessions covering the key facts for oral health in the early years!

Description

Oral Health for young children is so important for all they do – speak, eat, smile. Promoting oral health is now in the EYFS framework and it can feel like another daunting topic to teach! Well we have you covered – this session is, part 3 of three, oral health bite sized sessions designed to empower you with knowledge, insight and practical tips and ideas.
We will aim to cover the best ways to involve your families and parents in oral health at home! More practical ideas and communication tips to use at your setting. We will also touch on the area of dental neglect – what is might look like, symptoms and what you can do to help prevent it. All that in just 45 minutes!

Outcomes

At the end of today’s session you will have lots of ideas to better involve and communicate with your families and parents about the importance of oral health. You will also understand what dental neglect is and how to respond if you see this in your setting.
