Improving early identification in Oxfordshire: an introduction to using WellComm

This introductory training will help you to increase your confidence to access and navigate the WellComm tool kit. Suitable for Early Years practitioners in nursery that have access to a WellComm pack and work with children aged up to 6 years.

• Increase your confidence to access and navigate the WellComm tool kit
• Use the screening tool to identify and understand young children’s speech, language and communication needs
• Understand how to use the Big Book of ideas to support young children with speech, language and communication difficulties

By the end of the training participants will be able to:

• Access and understand the WellComm toolkit
• Be more confident in using the screening tool
• Understand how to use the Big Book of ideas to plan and support young children
