This half-day online session will outline the process of the deep dive, highlight areas of common focus, and share the sorts of questions that inspectors typically ask during inspection.
Subject leaders will then be able to follow up attendance at this session with a clearer focus on what evidence to gather together in order to clearly communicate the current quality of provision for mathematics within the school.
Mathematics is often selected as a subject to be the focus for a deep dive as part of the current approach to school inspection. For many subject leaders, the greatest challenge is feeling prepared for the experience of a deep dive, understanding what may be asked of them, and knowing what information to have to hand to support during the process.
