New to KS1 Course 2 – The Standards

This professional development compiles of two half day courses. Book onto one or both of the courses in this series. Suitable for Teachers, Headteachers and TAs (KS1).

The second course will focus on knowing the standard in Y1 and Y2. In 2024 there will be no statutory testing or moderation of KS1. What will assessment look like in your school? Making accurate formative and summative assessments of mathematics in Y1 and Y2 is going to be crucial.

During the afternoon we will explore the standards and there will be an opportunity to network and share outcomes across schools.

Outcomes:

• Teachers will have a secure understanding of the standards for Y1 and Y2.
• Examples of practical assessment tasks to support judgements.
• An opportunity to share and discuss outcomes across schools.
