Supporting beginner pupils using English as an additional language

This session will help you to identify the varying needs of EAL learners and put in place a range of strategies to support beginners to develop their English Proficiency and vocabulary acquisition. Suitable for SENCOs, Teachers and TA’s wanting to develop their knowledge and skills in meeting the needs of pupils who are new to English.

Outcomes:

To identify the varying needs of EAL learners
To develop a range of strategies to support beginners
To take away strategies to support vocabulary learning for EAL learners
