Teaching children with Communication and Interaction Needs (SEND)

This session focuses on how to teach children of all ages with Communication & Interaction Needs, including non or minimally verbal.

This session focuses on the principles of effective communication, which can be used to guide how teaching and learning is presented, and to support interactions.

Communication can be a significant barrier for pupils with SEND. It can prevent them from learning, from having a voice, and from forming positive and meaningful relationships with others.

Whether you are a Teaching Assistant, ECT, experienced teacher or SENDCo, this session will help you ensure that pupils have the best chance to understand, and be understood.
